Back Pain · Brighton & Hove
Most back pain gets better on its own. When it doesn't, the reason is usually that the underlying cause hasn't been properly identified — or that treatment has addressed the symptom without rebuilding the system that supports the spine.
How I Work
A thorough clinical assessment identifies what's actually driving your pain — disc, nerve, joint, muscular or referred. Treatment without accurate assessment is guesswork. I use the myBackPain.co.uk framework alongside hands-on clinical assessment to build the clearest possible picture before we start.
Soft tissue therapy, dry needling (if consented to) and joint mobilisation to reduce pain, restore movement and address the tissue contributing to your symptoms. Treatment is tailored to the assessment findings — not a fixed protocol applied to everyone with back pain.
Hands-on treatment addresses the pain. Reconditioning addresses what caused it — rebuilding the muscular support system that prevents it coming back. A structured movement therapy programme, realistic and designed around your life, is the difference between short-term relief and lasting recovery.
